The Nook of the North is a small creative studio from Whistler, BC, producing original cartoons, ski humour, mountain-inspired products, and the Peaks & Valleys newsletter.

Everything starts with the artwork.

Our designs are shaped by life in the mountains: ski days, weather, wildlife, road trips, local characters, resort town quirks, and the funny little truths of living in a place like Whistler.

Some pieces are Whistler-specific. Others are made for ski bums, locals, outdoor people, and other somewhat evolved mammals.

What we make

The Nook of the North creates original cartoons, apparel, mugs, stickers, prints, gifts, and small-batch products with more personality than the usual souvenir shelf.

Peaks & Valleys is our cartoon newsletter, featuring mountain memories, sketchbook mischief, ski humour, and questionable wisdom from Whistler.

Mountain Fossils is our growing collection of classic ski humour for people whose stories, scars, and knees all have opinions.

We spent years running a small gift shop in Whistler, paying attention to what people picked up, laughed at, remembered, and came back for.

That experience still shapes what we make now.

Our goal is simple: create original mountain goods with more story, more humour, and more reason to keep them around.
